Paris Hilton has defended Britney Spears against accusations of bad parenting, insisting the troubled singer is a “great mother”. Spears is currently fighting to win back visitation rights to see her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline after she was stripped of all custody rights following a stand-off with police earlier this month (Jan08).

Britney Spears continues to make the headlines after being photographed shopping for a pregnancy test.

After she saw her visitation rights to her two sons suspended following a stand-off with police the singer may have wanted to keep a low profile.

The star was hospitalized recently after refusing to hand over her two sons Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James, when police reputedly found her under the influence of an “unidentified substance”.

But the 26-year-old has opted to keep herself in the news by making a very visible trip to a pharmacy with her new boyfriend, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib.

Spears and 35-year-old Ghalib were snapped clearly scanning the shelves of the Rite Aid store in Studio City, California, for home pregnancy tests.

However, the veracity of the pictures is cast into doubt by Ghalib’s involvement – the photos were reportedly released by his own photo agency, FinalPixx.

Britney’s cousin and former assistant Alli Sims has recently hit out at Ghalib’s involvement in the Toxic star’s life, saying he has “bad intentions”.

Simms told Us Weekly: “I do not think Adnan is a good person… He has given me a weird feeling and creeped me out. I wish he would just go away.”

But Simms denied that Spears’ public meltdown had anything to do with drug abuse, despite the fact that the ruling judge in Spears’ custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline has labeled her a “habitual, frequent and continuous” user of controlled substances and alcohol.

I don’t know why Britney gets in trouble and somehow ends up on the spotlight. I don’t know either to laugh or to scold her for her deeds. May be it is the stardom and the enormous amount of money she is making that has been making her all dumb. I just don’t understand why she is acting this way. I know she must be pretty tensed about the fact that she had to leave her custody of her children over her ex-husband, but that doesn’t mean she has to take unnecessary harmful objects. Britney Spears has been hospitalised after police were called to her Los Angeles home to resolve a custody dispute.

The singer was seen being wheeled out of her house on a stretcher after emergency services rushed to a Los Angeles gated community when the star had delayed handing over custody of her children to her ex-husband.

It is believed the 26-year-old has been taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre for “evaluation” after police found her under the influence of an unknown substance.

Under current court-mandated arrangements, Spears is allowed two visits a week with her two sons while her former spouse Kevin Federline holds primary custody of the children.

The police were called in after the Baby One More Time star did not hand over her children on time which is against the terms of a court order.

According to Us magazine, Spears stayed with her children for 90 minutes longer than her scheduled time in spite of being asked to hand over her children by Federline’s bodyguard.

Details over whether Spears has handed over custody of her children are yet to be released.

Earlier in the day, the singer arrived to give evidence in a deposition with her former husband’s attorney. Previously Spears has missed two scheduled hearings and she arrived over one-and-a-half hours late for the hearing and left after giving just 14 minutes of testimony.

While the attorney for Spears’ husband said the pop princess had been “cooperative”, he stated that he had requested another hearing to obtain further evidence.

Yesterday, Spears’ legal team asked to be taken off the case. The singer’s lawyer said a communication breakdown had taken place that had made “further representation of her interests impossible”.

Speaking about the police presence at the star’s home, Spears’ attorney Sorrell Trope said: “In a normal case when someone shows up with a certified court order saying the kids need to be somewhere else, the police see to it that the order is obeyed. But that is in a normal case.”

If the court permits the firm to end their professional relationship with her, Spears will have to search for her fourth team of legal representatives since the beginning of the custody battle with Kevin Federline.

The singer and her former spouse are involved in legal proceedings to determine the time each one of them spends with their two children.

Previously in the case, a court in Los Angeles ended Spears’ joint custody arrangement after she missed a drugs test and media reports raised questions about her lifestyle.

I was reading the newspaper this morning and found the most hot topics, “Spice Girls Planning for Nude Tour!” My first thought when I read the heading was may be it is just another fake news heading to attract the readers. Mostly the newspapers do have the exciting heading but the news will just be some ordinary crap. Well after reading the news I was just too much astonished. The news is so true. I couldn’t believe that the old Spice Girls have united together and agreed to go for a reunion world tour and that by stripping completely while on stage.

Band member Melanie Chisholm has revealed that the group will bare all during the show. She added that her band members have agreed to sing in the nude with stage props covering their modesty.

“We do actually go naked in the show, completely,” Contactmusic quoted Chisholm, as saying.

The singer had earlier publicized that the band was worried that their dance routines in the reunion tour won’t be saucy enough to impress fans because of their ‘ageing’ knees.
